This is not a VFW building kind of show but at a large hotel, the
rate is reasonable considering the venue.

At that price do you get to keep the table? :-)

How wide is a table? Billy

Not sure, probably 8 feet by 4 feet something in that range. The
price is actually
reasonable compared to an ANA convention that charges around $1000 for
a
table. I suspect the Long Beach and Baltimore shows are in that range
as well.

That is way too much to fathom, what with petrol prices here being in the
$3.49 range, and that being a 2 hour drive. The Spring show is usually not
worth the time and travel to go to anyway.

The prices I'm sure were set long before the runup in gas prices, no
doubt this
is going to be a financial strain for dealers in addition to the gas
prices in attending the show.
The spring MSNS show has always been a much lesser show compared to
the
fall show, I doubt I will be going either as I have too many other
pending expenses coming up in the months ahead to deal with.

Baltimore charges about $ 650 and Long Beach charges according
to booth location in the hall from about $ 400-800. This is for the
booth only. Average expenses for either show are around $ 300 a day
including air fare and hotels/food.

In that case it would appear the Michigan spring show is still pretty reasonable

close at least to other shows. (except ANA).
MSNS signed a long term contract with the Dearborn hotel for both the
spring
and fall shows so they are locked into the location (and the expenses)
for
a long time to come.

With ever increasing fuel costs in the USA and UK I do wonder what effect
this will have on the attendance at coin shows.

I travel with fellow collectors which helps keeps the cost down. Billy
