fonts used in stamp design

I'm interested in the fonts used on old stamps ie pre QEII.

sometimes they seemed to use two fonts in the country name in the same issue!!

Anyone point me towards something??

As I said before, nice to have the album headings in the same font as
the stamps themselves.

There is a lot of info on www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ about how to
recognize a font type.

Thanks for that; will look.

As the stamps are 70 years old the fonts must be as well but all the
sites seem to feature fonts that are less than 70 days old!!!!

Do any of the stamp history books mention the font when describing the stamps?
