Opinions on 1954 CANADA $1 MISSING SERIAL NUMBERS

I guess I would be a bit concerned that this note allegedly circulated as
long as it did without being pulled out of circulation by the curious or in
a bank. But I also have to wonder that the serials were removed chemically
in some form and the heavy circulation could be a cover for the work.

Fact is, most dramatic errors in the 20th century get pulled out of
circulation very early on in the game. I don't doubt the authenticity of
the note, but do have doubts about it being an authentic error.
