German firm halts bank note sales to Zimbabwe
Evidently, the German currency maker Giesecke & Devrient GmbH was
asked by the German government to cease banknote sales to Zimbabwe. I wonder if the Zimbabwean government will start printing all future notes on toilet paper (as the currency of Zimbabwe these days are about all its good for.) I would not be surprised that China will take over printing duties since the regime in Zimbabwe has cozy relations with them.
