My newest project is a Seeburg USC-1 bandshell. I've got everything working
now except that it won't pick-up the A-side (100 numbers). It does fine
with the b-sides (200 numbers). I know that I need to buy the trouble
shooting book but would like to know if there are any basic solutions that
I can try right away. Is this a black/gray box issue or more likely a
connection? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the connection to the tormat moving contacts. Could be broken
or intermittent wire, or dirty/misformed contacts.

I would recomend checking the tormat left to right adjustment.

Also check that the block that rides under the tormat - the contacts
that touch the rivets under the tormat can get pitted and out of
adjustment.
