Seeking a new volume control. Anyone have or can point in right
direction?.

You only need a 10K linear taper pot and two wires as I recall...the
volume control circuit is a voltage control in later Rowes (and the CD
machines).

No shielding required, just take care not to short either wire to
anything conductive outside of the pot.

Dual pot. It was designed so that if the amp is switched mono the two
channels could then be used to power two separate zones. You would
then use a single 10K for each zone. If you want remote cancel/reject
add another single conductor to your cable.
