Default Curiosity Corner #210: Strange story from Sweden

From the Nordic omnibus series, "Applied art before 1850"

comes this seemingly innocent cradle issue.

This renaissance style, usually evidenced the common practice
of carving the cradle with the names of the babies that used them,
and in what years.

The curiosity here lies in the fact that, Northern cradles always
rocked "head to toe", whilst Southern cradles, "sideways"
