In person - Poncharello

Hi all -
Got to meet with Ponch from CHiPS - Eric Estrada today. He was at a
function with the Highway Patrol checking on child car-seats. He was having
his picture taken with us (polaroid) by a staffer, then signing it for us.
He was great - spent about a minute with each person, laughing, making small
talk while waiting for the picture to develop so he could sign it. He was
very personable and funny.

I know he's not an A list star (never was, really) but at least he is
reachable by the public, and seems to truly appreciate the people who took
the time to come see and chat with him.

My main guy is a cop, and in addition to the picture, he had him sign a
miranda rights card. That was pretty cool, I thought.

Thats it. Just wanted to share my in-person experience.

I enjoyed "The Surreal Life", okay shoot me!, and I have to say he is the 1 who
stood out the most as being a honest, and Good human being...he seems to be
cooler now than when he was on Chips..

He's a bit chubbier than before (but hey, ain't we all), but he still has
all his hair, still jet black, and he has that same Poncharello smile. He's
aged quite well, I'd say.
And ... he's a charmer, that's for sure.
