Default Ricin in the US mail- future problems?

I am surprised no one has brought this up yet. Currently, the thought is that
this is one angry individual. But as we saw with the anthrax scare, the effect
on the hobby can be disruptive. The radioactive energy used to scan the mail
cannot detect Ricin. Until better technology is discovered, do you think that
this will have a lasting effect on the hobby of collecting TTM. This is a
serious concern in the US- during the anthrax scare several institutions
stopped mail delivery service. Even though it is an 'isolated' incident
(probably caused by one person with a small target base) the hysteria effect
could be devastating.

It's confined to Governement agencies, so I don't think that it's that
widespread enough for commercial entities to freak out that much.
Besides, the last one turned out to be a big hoopla, so I think
everyone is more immune to it now. It's a concern, but probably just
a disgruntled interoffice type government employee ...

All they gotta do is tie deathrow inmates facing the mail conveyors and have
them test sniff the air. If they drop over then they know there's a
problem.
