3, $1 bills which had consecutive serial numbers ... How much is it worth? or

is it just a neat little thing to have?

Most of the time, just a neat little thing to have, but there are exceptions.
Onesuch 'broad' statement would be Star Notes, and / or misprints. (does that
make it "twosuch"??)

You can go to the bank and ask for "Crisp New Bills" and sometimes get them in
sequence. It does depend a bit on your teller, and their attitude. If you can
get the right person, a cooperating "regular visit" teller can be a bonus. One
bank I used to go to, I used to wait for this particular teller, as he began to
recognise the things I was looking for (coins too).

One day, he said he had been holding onto a Note in particular which he thought
I'd like to have (It was a Series 1934 $100 bill, which I bought from him) ...
totally, over the time of about 10 months, I must have bought at least $20
(face value) in silver coins from him, which he had set aside for me. He was
also my Ike / Sacagawea / and Unc. State Quarter connection for awhile.

What was happening was that I grew "extra eyes" at that bank, who had access to
a large number of specimens.
