TORONTO Show...Worth The Trip?????

Hi guys.....
With the winter looking more and more like a Hockeyless one,has anyone heard
any facts,rumors,or have opinions on the upcoming fall expo in November....I
personally have heard from a dealer up there that Upper Deck will be or has
already pulled their redemption program,and he know of 4 dealers who ususally
do the show will not be this time...Again,if anyone has heard anything,E mail
me or post to the boards....I dont want to make the trip if its not going to be
worth it...Thats always been a great show with some great dealers,hopefully it
will be again this fall.....Lets hope these knuckleheads can get their act
together and save this season.What a long winter it will be if they
dont.....Thanks

It's always worth a trip. Whether THIS show is worth the trip...

I think it'll be better than people expect. I know many people won't go
fearing a poor turnout, but the people who do will be there to do some
serious horse trading. I think it'll be a decent show.

I'll be there, so of course it's worth the trip!!

I just received an invoice from them.
Show is going on as planned.

This reminds me of SARSfest.....all the tire-kickers stayed home, the
true collectors showed up and I had my best show yet!

So 4 or 5 dealers have already backed out...good!...more sales for
me!!

Steve-thanks for the kind words!

You're absolutely right.......this will be a better show than people
expect!
I look at the positive side-this will give people a chance to catch up
on want lists from the last couple of years!

That's what I've been saying. We've been SCREAMING for a break since
1998 when Pacific came on the scene. We used to get June-July-August
free from new releases to catch up. It's pretty sad we have to hope for
a work stoppage to get a reprieve from these guys...
