Default Inflation

Which country had the worst inflation, that is the highest multiplicand of
the basic unit in a short period. It could be Germany after WWI or Hungary
after WWII. Argentina had successive revaluations, a thousand at a time,
and cumulatively may get the prize. Gibbons often makes a note about a
revaluation when new stamps are issued.

In Hungary, a 20 gram domestic letter cost 0.30 Pengo prior to May 1,
1945. By July 24, 1946 that same letter cost the equivalent of

800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Pengo.

After the currency reform on Aug. 1 the new rate was 0.60 Forint.

I don't know if Argentina can top that or not. I wouldn't overlook
Turkey either.
