Default Unusual Circulation Find

Yesterday as I was leaving a convenience store I looked at the change
in my hand and something stuck out like the proverbial sore thumb.

It was a 1981-S proof Roosevelt Dime.

The unusual part...it had a Type 2 mintmark...the so-called "clear S"

It couldn't have been in circulation for very long as it only had a
few fine scratches in the fields. Otherwise it was in very good shape.

I'd blame the economy, but more likely some kid got into granpa's coin
collection and wanted candy badly.
