Two of the most evil 'men' in recent history have just
been destroyed - what's the problem?

David.

This is not the right forum for this discussion Dave. But it is always good
to remember there are two sides to any story.

Today there are realistically "Three sides".

The Right, the Wrong and the Legal.

Indeed there are, and I think that the "other side"
are as glad to see the end of them as "we" are!

I don't think they will be issuing a set of stamps
in their honour, do you?

David.

Speaking of which, I wonder how soon we will learn about the first Free Iraq
stamp issue? Or will it be an occupation issue, perhaps? The situation seems
to be so "fluid" in Iraq that I doubt anyone over there or in Washington has
given it any serious thought! It will be interesting to see what transpires.
I read recently that the Chinese injunction, "May you live in interesting
times," was meant as curse and not a blessing. We do seem to be living in
interesting times.

Checking both the USPS and Royal Mail sites, I see that "All mail
services for Iraq are currently suspended." I wonder if there is any
mail delivery going on w/in Iraq at all yet.

Let's hope not. I do not collect much middle east anyway. I did buy some
Israel at one point but it isn't on my list of any time soons.

But the point is this is quite a convoluted situation, one that has been
hard on the old heart at times (emotionally that is). What is even more sad
is the opportunistic ways people use situations like this to provoke in NGs.
