Default Looking for Amp IC 4739CP

I'm looking for where to purchase the IC # 4739CP as used in Rowe-AMI
Amp 6-09931-02 on the pre amp board.

Also looking for the 6-09931-02 amp schematic with or without the manual.

Hi Tony,

Did some digging in my archives. I think you have an Exar XR4739CP dual op-amp. Its similar to uA739. NTE cross a uA739 to an
NTE725 but this needs external compensation. This beast has a non-standard pinout. Don't know if its still available. I can
scan the datasheet for you if it will help. Should be a 14 pin dip with V+ on pin 14 and V- on pin 7. You could probably
adapt a modern dual like the TL072 onto a 14 pin header to drop in. Hope this helps.

I'm looking for where to purchase the IC # 4739CP as used in Rowe-AMI
Amp 6-09931-02 on the pre amp board.

According to the suppliers chart in the back of the R90 shop manual,
Rowe used two different manufacturers of that chip.

Raytheon # RC4739

Exar # XR4739CP

Rowe's part number for the chip is: 3-08002-06

Maybe those numbers will give you some more information for cross
referencing.

If the chip is hard to locate, I've had good luck with this company in
locating obsolete chips/components:

Clear Perceptions, Inc.

Chatsworth, Calif. 91311

Thanks, I'll keep that company on file. Just today by dumb luck I
happen to have someone dropping of a amp like I'm working on. Unkown
condition $10. And a Manual with schematics for $5. The preamp board
has 6 of those IC's so I'm sure to get a good one, and maybe I'll just
have to swap boards?

I think I got lucky don't you? :-)

A company in the UK makes a replacement module for the XR4737CP chip. They are
MAJ Electronics at www.majelectronic.co.uk and their part number is "MAJ
4739M".
