Default Vero Beach coin show report

This is a small show of about 30 tables, with some stamp tables also. It is in
the community center which was packed with people, making navigating the floor
awkward. People were milling about and getting to tables was tough early on.
Selections by dealers were small, and the prices were high.
Found one of my elusive Jeffs that I needed, 1950, in BU but with a below
average strike which is common for the year. Same dealer also had a very nice
1967 Special mint set and a blue pack 1973 Ike which he wanted $25 for all
three and would not budge.
Trends lists all 3 for approx. $27 I went as high as $20 but no sale. Really
need that Jeff, but with a weak strike I'll hold out for better.

Spent 2hours on the floor, but it was so damn crowded I just didn't have a good
time and found myself feeling forced just to buy something. Didn't want to buy
something I didn't want so I went to a area that is set up high like a loft or
stage, which was selling supplies and books and picked up some coin tubes.

Overall a dismal time with the overcrowded conditions and below average
selection and high prices. But on the bright side the monthly Melbourne show is
only 2 weeks away!

Couple more things, looked at Bill Colemans coins, he sells all ANACS graded
coins. He was very nice, and had some nice coins fairly priced but nothing I
wanted.

Also saw a copy of the new Morgan dollar book which I thumbed thru quickly.
Nice, compact, write up of each date and mintmark which was nice. Wish they
would make one for Jefferson Nickels.
