Do some bidders think that they are getting the notes illustrated and
not just the auction catalogue? Billy

I have seen quite a few catalogues sold on ebay and this one seems to be
rather standard
in its description. I fail to see a problem and would not think that
anyone would confuse
the catalogue with the actual notes.

The guy is a used book collector/retailer. He is fully aware that he
bought a publication, so it seems the only sucker here is, well, you.
