Default Rock-Ola Starlet 429 Help needed

Hi, i've recently acquired a Rock-Ola Starlet (429) and well it's in
it's own juce and i was wondering how i could open the upper panel. Is
there a button or something needed because there is some rust and i
don't want to force it.
There seem to be a lock or something like that.
I've tried pressing the "white button" on the back but won't do much.
Also it doesn't play music but that's an other thing
I first want to clean it and remplace the lights so i need access to
that part.
Thank you in advance

Default Rock-Ola Starlet 429 Help needed

Great
I've found it, now i can change the neons and clean up the upper part a
bit.
Thank you.
Now the main problem is that the machine doesn't grab the 45'. The
table is spinning and when selecting a new track the selector moves but
the 45' don't move.
If you have any idea what it could be.
The select light is lighted as the money mechanism has apparently been
removed so it can't be that coins are needed.
Even when I put a disc on the platine, it won't read it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

That didn't work right-we'll try again. There should be a release catch
in the mechanism compartment at the top in the rear, which would be
underneath the display panel.Usually they push up. Pull the lower end
of the panel frame while pushing the catch.

This is not going to be as easy as your earlier problem, but we'll try.
Is the service switch on?(located near the front of the mechanism
slightly left of the turntable) Are all the fuses OK? Is the record
gripping arm over the record basket or is it beside the turntable?(or
somewhere in between??) Will the record basket turn if you put the
service switch in SCAN?
Post back with what you find and we'll go from there.

The switch was on OPER and what do you call the fuses? the lamps are
all working ( some brighter than others but they all seem to work) The
gripping arm is between both the turntable and the record basket. I've
tried switching on SCAN but it does nothing.
And by the way how do you access the front neon? I mean it's com.pletly
full of cables and it's even hard to see it from the main access and
the front access doesn't help either.

Thank you for your help, i really appreciate it.
