A 51 nib for Sanskrit? It can be done.
OK, this time there is an attempted writing demo page. This shows
"before" and "after" photos of a Parker 51 retipped as a harpoon/Sanskrit style nib (a one of a kind, as nearly every harpoon tip in the past has been requested for sheaffer balance and touchdown admirals!). It writes razor fine on vertical strokes and is an extra wide italic on horizontal strokes. The harpoon blade is VERY slightly curved to enable some line variation based on angle changes. The shading can be exaggerated by altering the angle of the hand...it is a versatile shading nib once a user tries it out a bit and finds its capabilities. It is also a super smooth fine when upside down. http://home.earthlink.net/~noodlersink/harpoon.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~noodlersink/harpoon1.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~noodlersink/harpoon2.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~noodlersink/harpoon3.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~noodlersink/harpoon4.jpg www.NoodlersInk.com (under the top link called "Pens designed and engineered for this ink.") |
