I'am sorry to use the list for half private reason, but it is the only
one solution to join this friend that writes me directly to answer me
abour one of my questions, and when I try to answer the mail comes
back with this nice message (it is the first time I get it):

"This is the SMTP Server program at host wanadoo.fr.

The SMTP Server program

unavailable; [193.252.22.28] blocked using dnsbl.sorbs.net,
reason: Spam
Received See: http://www.dnsbl.sorbs.net/cgi-bin/lookup?IP=193.252.22.28"

When I go to dnsbl I don't understand what they ask and for what
reason the mails come back (with MOZILLA and with OE 6.0, I use only
the reply button).

Unfortunately, your ISP, wanadoo.fr, is notorious for tolerating
spammers and, as a result, is widely blocked. You may want to find an
ISP with a better reputation.

Hi all

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Thanks in particular to Pierre
for his kind offer to act as an intermediary.

Jean-Paul and I found a work-around this problem: he opened a free
«laposte» account from which he writes me and I answer direct to his
«wanadoo» address.

Not the best situation but it works for the time being.

The «laisser-faire» attitude of wanadoo.fr towards spammers is penalizing
their bona fide users and their correspondents. I wonder how many clients
of wanadoo are aware of this problem and of the retaliatory measures taken
by other ISPs around the world.

Still it looks like I will be exchanging US stamps for French ones in the
near future. That's the value of Internet for me.

Regards

Richard Thouin

Bonjour Jean-Paul,

May be one solution could be that you send me your mail to Richard and
then I forward it to him from my 2 ISP's which may be accepted by
Richard's ISP ?

A fair solution might also be to correspond directly
via Yahoo-accounts. I do that frequently myself in
cases where my correspondents' email accounts
cause "problems".

Thank you all! I have opened a count at French post, I had one at
Caramail.com but I think they have a problem with their server: it is
not possible to open my count (they have perhaps also closed it) and
to create a new one!! I have also got a lot of other adresses to open
a count. I could so send a mail to Richard Thoin!!

I get no more spams with other friends then other friends, between
nothing and 5 each day, Mozilla eliminate automaticaly some of them,
and I use my principaly address on all discuss, forum and give my
address to a lot of dealers to get good news!! I get each day more
then 50 good mails that are no spam!!

Some month ago WANADOO has tried to stop spams, but I could not access
to many adresses and mails came also back!!
