I expected a more sensible and mature reaction from you. Will you react in the same manner not if but WHEN bird flu hits Greece,as it surely will just like the earthquake did a few years ago? No, this is your buddies Senie job ;-) As you have maybe observed, I have not posted any articles about Turkey for some time... I did it *IMMEDIATELY* as your buddy Seanie started posting garbage on scg... Are you still "disappointed" or you would like to refrain from your previous posting ?... And as usually not a single word about that NAZI Turkish TROLL of Seanie.... But again, he is a Turk, so maybe in your opinion he has every right to be RACIST against the Greeks, call names, curse unborn children, etc... The current bird flu thatis gripping Turkey is now stretching as far west as Istanbul, initial tests on two dead chickens found in the cit's district of Kucukcekmece indicated they were infected by the bird flu virus, sending residents of the Istanbul suburb into hospital for testing said Istanbul province deputy health director Mehmet Bakar on Monday. The Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag told a press briefing on Tuesday that the official number of cases in Turkey was 15: "The total number of cases in our country is 15 confirmed by laboratory tests, and out of those 15, three children have died." The government has been heavily criticized for not dealing with the crisis effectively, following the deaths of three siblings last week in the village of Dogubeyazit, where chickens are still roaming openly amongst sick birds. Head of the WHO mission to Turkey, Guenael Rodier, a specilaist on communicable diseases told Reuters Television on Monday, "At the moment there is no element in this village indicating human-to-human transmission, It's typically similar to what we have seen so far in Asia." With the bird flu turning up across four provinces from Istanbul, Ankara, the Black Sea to Van, health officials will be watching the situation very closely. The latest outbreak has been seen in the western tourist city of Kusadasi on the Aegean Sea, four kids are now in hospital for tests after dead birds were found. Also is the town of western town of Bursa, south of Istanbul three kids have now gone into hospital for testing. |
