Default 1935D wide-narrow border

I have been trying to find info. on the changeover from the wide border
to the narrow border that took place during the 1935D series of $1
bills. Whether both plates were used simultaneously throughout the
printing period, or whether a cutoff date occurred. Since Their values
are identical. My guess is either option 1, or the date of changeover
was in the middle of the Series.
