Default The five cent solution

There's been much talk in the press about the arguments between the CCAC and
the mint over the new nickels. Well, here's what they should have done, and
what they should do in the future.

Have the mint come up with about ten or fifteen designs. Then have them
engraved and send out order forms for a set of monetized patterns. These will
come with a ballot [one to a customer] which will be sent back to the mint and
the design with the most votes gets put into circulation.

Wadda'ya think?

I think that I dislike a proposal in which citizens (me) have to pay
(purchase the pattern package) in order to vote. ;-)
