Although prepared & first displayed
Tuesday June 26, 1996 at the Donruss Corporate booth
at the 1996 Anaheim National (NSCC) Convention,
Pinnacle opted to distribute ONLY the "GOLD" Promos
(GOLD's today .. are already quite hard to find!)
through their distributors & brokers network
on Friday August 2, 1996 .. retaining
the "SILVER" Promos for Pinnacle execs & internal use only ..
until very recently, just a few examples of these SILVER Promos
managed to find their way into the hobby ..
NOW .. finally in 2004, a small number of sets
(have seen some accounts of "as few as under" TEN sets)
have made it into the hobby arena,
and collectors are scrambling to secure examples
for their collections before this very rare supply dries up ..
possibly a ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME opportunity!
