In my browser window those names appear directly beneath the heading 'Forum Moderators;. Mea Maxima Culpa. Whew. You floored me with that one. I thought Reid had some kind of affiliation with the site (through hosting his web articles or something) but a moderator would have shocked me. Yeah...my great good fortune to check out the link while the only two *registered members* on the site were Peter T. Davis and Reid Goldsborough...both of which showed up as bolded names beneath the heading "Forum Moderators". Yea, that's right. Coin Talk is a Jackass Free Zone, you'd probably get
swiftly banned there too. Peter http://www.cointalk.org "Edward McGrath" wrote in message ... Peter, I can tell by the way you treated "Alan & Erin Williams in this thread that you are a typical moderator. Alan is lucky to be able to respond to you, if you moderated this coin room I doubt he would be given the chance to respond. Moderators, little men wishing they had real power. |

Yea, you'd certainly get a bunch of results in a search of USENET for my
name and the word 'jackass', but really Alan I wouldn't have to use the word so much if you'd refrain from acting like one. Peter http://www.cointalk.org "Alan & Erin Williams" wrote in message ... I visit rcc, Numisaddict and CoinTalk on a regular basis. Daily for rcc and usually daily for Numisaddict, semi-daily for CoinTalk. I am hitting the PCGS boards less and less and less but I lurk the NGC boards usually weekly. There is a lot of good info out there and I sometimes find things on other forums that will be of interest here. snip Sorry to hear that Ed. I've been reading rcc for quite a few years, and my impression is that the type that gets here is on average more experienced than the ones coming to Cointalk. Sure, there are the odd newbies here, but at Cointalk most of the people are newbies. Christ, are newbies not welcome here with the 'ELITE" ebay forum? Whatever happened to wanting to promote the hobby? |

It's not that newbies are not welcome here, it's that they're more likely to
find a website than they are to find a USENET newsgroup. The demographics are very different between here at RCC and at a website like Cointalk. Promoting the hobby is exactly the reason I created Cointalk, and exactly the reason that more experienced people are needed there. There are mostly experienced people here at RCC, and there are mostly newbies at Cointalk. Peter http://www.cointalk.org "Grandpa" wrote in message ...
