My dad had one of these for awhile when for recording of clients'
phone calls (this was before the Secrecy of Communications Act!) for
his legal practice. It didn't last very long, as I recall, and was
replaced by a Wollensak RTR. I seem to recall this machine coming to
market around around 1961?

Another big bugaboo about these...the price of the carts was
astronomical compared to 7" reels. The NiCd battery pack was HUGE!
