transportation tokens

can anyone suggest a good reference book on transportation tokens? i cannot
locate "checklist of u.s. transportation tokens" by bernard morgenthau. is
there a more contemporary guide available? thanks.

I have an older edition of atwoods catalogue of us and Canadian
transportation tokens.

Rich Hartzog has a whole website dedicated to exonumia and a huge number of

The best reference for US transporation tokens is the "Atwood-Coffee
Catalog of United States and Canadian Transportation Tokens". New
editions come out fairly regularly. Latest edition is 5th (1996) and
runs over 800 pages, including a good index. (Note: there are 3
"volumes" of the catalog, and you probably want vol. 1 "listings"; the
other volumes "history" and "minor die varieties" are more of interest
to specialists). The catalog sells for $45 ($30 for AVA members)
which is quite reasonable for a book of this size.
