Default Customs rifled through my carts

In what I think was a 1st today as far as I can remember, I got a
package of 8Ts from the U.K. that was stamped so as to let me know
that U.S. Customs had opened it to check on "tariff compliance."

Man, nothing would thrill me more than for some Limey sucker to lable
my carts as a "Gift" only to leave a print-out receipt inside.

customs can be f-ing nasty, recently I bought an SET Zen stereo tube
amp from a guy in Canada for $300 "delivered" price, including
shipping. Much to my surprise, I got a CUSTOMS BILL from UPS for the
item crossing the border into Montana, for another $45. When I called
UPS and objected and told them I wasn't paying, they said hey no
problem, we'll just hammer your credit report. ****ed me off...the
seller checked a box saying I would pay the duty. I got the seller to
refund the $45 tariff luckily...

He had declared the amp at true value $300. That's a nearly 17
percent tariff on that item, holy crap...
