I went to a Super Flea Market in another area of Western New York called Cheektowaga and I found 7 8-Tracks.A couple of old lady's were selling them and I was overjoyed to find these. These were the first 8- Tracks that I've found in a long time and I couldn't resist these.Below is the list of what I have found: The Ultimate Engelbert Humperdinck Marty Robbins: With Love,Marty Robbins Two by Frank Sinatra: That's Life Greatest Hits Volume 1 The Lettermen:All Time Greatest Hits Two that are still sealed Elvis Presley: I Got Lucky(This is a Pickwick reissue, which is white shelled with a protective plastic cap covering up the playing area) Joe Venuti In Milan(Blue Shelled GRT cart of a Vanguard Recording Society release) I tried out a few of them. The Marty Robbins cart played beautifully without the splice breaking. The latter three, the Sinatra's and Lettermen carts need new pads and possibly new splices.Hopefully,I will be sending these to Kate's Track Shack next month to get them tuned up so they will sound better.I sent out a whole bunch of carts a few months back and when I got them back,I tried most of them out and they sound terrific. They actually sounded better than when I bought them initially. I just thought that I would share this with all of you.I hope that all of you have a nice evening.Sincerely Frank R.Schoonover P.S.I also scored on Ebay recently.I won Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Volumes 1 & 2.Billy Joel's Piano Man,which is the original black shelled Ampex cart and KISS' debut album, which is also the original black shelled Ampex cart. Frank, with all due respect all these carts you mentioned are nothing spectacular, other than "filler" used in bulk sales lots for 25 cents each or so. *The only cart of interest there even remotely valuable or slightly rare, if at all- is KISS s/t debut I mean really, Billy Joel and Sinatra ? *good artists, and I respect it if you like that music, *but their carts are nearly worthless- Hide quoted text - Frank never mentioned the carts being worth anything or valuable so why do you have to **** on someones parade? Not everything in this world is about what something is worth moneywise, there's also sentimental value, sometimes that is priceless.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - then why did you buy a Honda, for ill-perceived "resale value" ?? I never stated that was the reason I bought a Honda but you seem to be missing the point. Even if I did buy them for that reason, it has nothing to do with Franks tapes and the reason he bought them. There is really no reason to bring up Honda at all except to attempt to deflect attention away from your comment to Frank practice what you preach and be more patriotic next time- Hide quoted text - Yes Charlie, like that Chinese shotgun you bought, nothing patriotic about that. This group was actually getting back on track and now you are trying to destroy it again. You even stooped to cross-posting political crap along with personal attacks. Nothing will ever change for you. |

Noodles Shows Once Again That He Don't Make NO Sense
On Apr 28, 7:46*am, trippin-2-8-track wrote: sit down ps- don't slit your wrist again- Noodles I couldn't obviously let your snide assinine remarks go unnoticed. Not only that, these statements don't even make any sense. You've also used them so many times that I feel like I'm watching a bad episode of Survivor or any bull**** reality based show that repeats everything that another reality based show used previously. For Your Information,I am not a 5 year old kindergartener.I am an adult male in my early 30's and I will NOT be told to "sit down" by anyone, including a thoughtless creep(though that's putting it mildly) such as yourself.I am going to stand up and stick up for anybody that you attack in this forum. That Noodles is a promise that I am going to keep and you can count on that.Just keep persecuting somebody in here and I will do that. Not only that, I am not a freako devil worshiping outcast. Only those types slit their wrists and also suicidal mental cases alongside them.Plus, you happen to take the cake regarding the vast majority of mentally disturbed and deranged(though that is also putting it mildly) people and that's not saying very much. Plus, you possibly being a special ed student who never received the right therapy for his issues, is also another factor in WHY you are the way you are.I am actually ashamed to say that because I happen to know plenty of people who were special ed students who actually turned out to be very productive individuals later on in their life once they left school. You actually give those types a bad name and that is sad. Once again Noodles,You better quit while you're ahead. The more negative nonsense you say, the more you get yourself into trouble. |

Who gives a rip WHAT you think, Noodles? *If he gets the carts, plays them, fixes them and enjoys them, who they hell are you to denigrate his choices? *Only a feckless moron, that's who...and that would be Charlie "Zito" Nudo. *To me, he has a very broad choice of musical fare from which to listen...because he has an open mind. *Yours can't even be open, since it doesn't even exist anymore. Desert Bob & Everyone I'd like to share a little bit about my background.I have a family that was very diverse in their musical tastes and so I grew up listening to music of all sorts and having some appreciation as to why there are all sorts of different music. My mom was heavily into country music but she also liked Dean Martin,Nat King Cole and Sammy Davis Jr. As for my two sisters, one was into hard rock and the other was into soft rock and dance/pop and later went to prefer country as well.I also introduced to folk music via when I went to school and when I watched Sesame Street when I was younger.Music was always a very important part of my life and so when I see something or anything that was a part of my life musically,I buy it whether it is on vinyl,8- Track, cassette and CD.Despite CD's being prevelant in the mainstream market place,I will always prefer the warm sounds of a vinyl record because music always sounds better on vinyl than on a compressed digital format such as a CD.That is why I have a room full of vinyl in my house. I also dig the classic Motown sounds, which I was introduced to by some friends of the family who were black and I dug those sounds as well.I still dig them today and I also have several classic Motown 8-Tracks by Stevie Wonder,Diana Ross,Smokey Robinson,Jackson 5ive and Marvin Gaye. I hope that everyone in here has a wonderful afternoon.Sincerely Frank R.Schoonover |

You were banned indefinitely from there due to your behavior and instigating fights with other members by your inexcusably insulting some of the really fine people in there. Those people in that forum actually treat with me with respect, alongside Desert Bob and Ricky in this forum. Plus, you're just jealous because I am a member of that forum and you're not allowed in there nor are you allowed to join 8trackheaven. I never have to worry about them being all over me in a negative way because none of those people in that forum wouldn't even think of treating me the way that you treated me here. Not only that, if you're trying to get mme to come back to buying from you as a result of these attacks on me and needless rants, I have only one thing to say to you: FORGET IT!!!! None of it is still going to do you any good. You better give it up. When I said that we were through, I meant it. Again,it isn't going to do you much good.Frank R.Schoonover |
