Hi I have a Rockola 1455 with the carousel mech. Is there a way to
quieten these things down without dissassembly. Also the gripper motor
has grinding noise when taking record off. Any help would be

I have limited juke box experience, but I just rebuilt at 1438 from
the ground up. The only noise you should hear from the carousel is
the sound of the tang the keep the records in place during rotation
clicking back and forth and the records moving around. I would pull
the motor for the carousel and turn it by and and listen. You might be
able to identify the part that needs attention. Also, you might want
to take your two motors apart (easy to do) and inspect and lube them.
They shouldn't make any grinding noises.

Here is a couple picture of my 1438: http://www.pasetta.net/juke.html

Hello I removed and totally cleaned both motors and it eliminated 75%
of noise. Thanks for the advice.
