Default ____Rainbow Toning_____

Coin being discussed:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3034285649

Rainbow Toning: YES
Banding: NO

For those who proclaim that all 'Real' Rainbows must be Banded - YOU
ARE WRONG!

Here is a coin Slabbed by a Third Party Grading Service that is
Labeled (and I quote) 'Rainbow Toning'

You'll notice that it DOESN'T HAVE BANDING.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3033836884

Admit when you're WRONG.

PCI gold label slabs do not count. The new owners would slab a washer and
certainly have no qualms about mislabeling a coin to obtain a higher price.

Find one with that label in a PCGS, NGC, ICG, or ANACS slab. Or an OLD PCI slab
(see Eric's page for how to tell the difference)

Dude, you've got a decent coin. You don't need to represent that as rainbow
toning to sell it.

And you believe that the gold label PCI slabs have credibility? They, along
with ACG (Accugrade) and NTC have equal credibility among experienced
collectors and professional numismatists. Are you brand new to numismatics. If
not, you must not have learned much!

Now, YOUR credibility has declined to zero, I'm afraid.

Peddle your wares elsewhere. Don't insult us any more.

Yes, brought to you by the same "Third Party Grading Service" that in the
last year that I know of has slabbed an altered 1856 Flying Eagle Cent as
genuine, a struck copy of an 1877 Indian Head Cent as genuine, and a
1793 Gallery Large Cent replica with copy ground off as genuine.

You are WRONG, and if you honestly believe that NTC, PCI and ACG are
legitimate grading services, you have no business dealing with coins at
all.

Get it through your head, a Rainbow Morgan is one that is bag toned with
distinct bands of color. Anything else is NOT a rainbow.
