Ken... If it's clogged with traditional shellac-based India ink, good
luck! Shellac-based India ink is water-proof---it can't be washed away
with water. You could try soaking-flushing the section with Koh-I-Noor
Rapido-Eze cleaning solution followed by some vigorous flushing or an
ultrasonic bath and some vigorous flushing. If this doesn't do it,
you'll have to pop the nib and feed using a knock-out block. Once you
get the nib and feed out of the section, you'll have to carefully scrape
and pick the shellac off the nib and out of all the nooks and crannies.
Shellac-based India inks will ruin pens, so don't be surprised if you
ultimately decide the pen isn't worth the effort (you could keep the
barrel and cap for parts anyway). Doesn't hurt to call Waterman and ask
how much a new section will cost. If it's clogged with water-based India
ink, I'd try clearing the feed by forcefully flushing it with water (for
example, by using a dental syringe or something else you can use to
force water into the open end of the section and through the feed. You
could also try an ultrasonic cleaner. These methods aren't always
helpful when feeds are clogged with dye-based inks, so you may have to
pop the nib and feed and then flush with water. Good luck --- Bernadette

It does pull out. Use a pair of pliers with electrical insulating tape
wrapped around the pliers where it grips the feed or use a Kleenex / tissue
folded many times and put that between the feed / nib and pliers and PULL.

Regards,
Adrian.
