If I could take a moment -- this is NOT the way to obfuscate your email
address. By leaving the right side of the @ intact as a valid domain,
you are causing bucketloads of undeliverable mail to clog up Gmail's
servers. Furthermore, on the off chance that someone actually registers
(it is a valid email address, after all),
they would be subjected to all the spam you are trying to avoid.

The ideal address munge is an address that is totally unresolvable. This
keeps the email on the spammer's servers, and no further. For example,
this would be better:

lid (replace "invalid" with "com")

..invalid is a special top-level domain that is guaranteed to resolve to
nothing forever (or as long as the current internet system exists). If a
spammer harvests that address, it will just clog their database, as it
is completely undeliverable.

If you want something completely undecipherable, this usually works
good:

lid

In a side tangent, Gmail is very effective in filtering out spam, so I
rather question the need to munge Gmail email addresses in the first
place. 'Twere me, I'd just post with my valid address, spammers be
damned.

I am going to test that idea and unmunge for the first time in a long
time.

It's not just the SPAM you are minimizing by munging your email addr, it
also works in part for those applets that harvest email addrs, which of
course leads to SPAMming. Of course a good filter works wonders too!

But remember, making a munged address something general like this
increases the likelihood that you'll be sharing your munged
address with someone(s) in numerous people's killfile. Best to
have something that won't be duplicated by someone else. (Though
my rot-13 is probably overkill admittedly.)
