Default The TES collection - looking for info

Greetings r.c.s.d

I wonder if anyone knows ....

Here I have a printed catalogue of the Christie's sale, in 1995, of the
TES collection of GB QV line-engraved Pennies.
It was a breathtakingly stunning collection of many hundreds of lots,
almost entirely Pennies - trials, plate proofs, imprimaturs, issued,
etc, and I still have no idea who assembled the collection or anything
of its history.
Can anyone cast light on this? I am curious ....

Cheers

I presume you have tried contacting Christie's?
Most high quality properties are sold via 'named sales'. However, there
are some collectors who don't want to be named and this may be such a case.

It is a good idea, but not yet.

That makes sense, but for such a collection I reckoned it might have
been documented. (Wish it was mine.)
