Default Euro collecting info?

Folks,

Been paying attention to comments here in the group about the euro and
I've been scanning the Internet looking for more info. I found lots of
sites that give descriptive info about euro coins (the best sites seem
to be parts of or links from official mint sites), one site that talks
about euro errors (http://www.iltrogolo.it/attila/coins/errori.htm), a
few reliable places to buy current offering (Royal Scandinavian Mint,
Euron Collections International), and even one or two places to buy
(claimed) original euro starter kits at less tahn stoopid prices.

I'm still looking for definitive sources on errors, variations, and the
like. It's probably too early for there to be many monographs, papers,
or books on these topics given the short time these coins have been in
circulation, but Hope Springs Eternal.

If anybody has any info, please let me know. If I can't find any decent
website that has all the best info in one place - at least in English -
I'll likely create a web page with whatever links I find.

Trying to bring something to the feast,

Scot Kamins

Can you look at the computer screen while dancing? Here's more :-)
http://www.euro.nunaar.be/

This site is, well, being constructed by a Belgian collector. The upper
half of the front page is in Dutch - but before you dust your language
books g scroll down to the English part. You can download a
spreadsheet (.xls) which allows you to mark the pieces/variations you
have. So it is also a useful list of existing variations

Some more pages (in German, partly with pictures):
http://www.sammler.com/mz/euro_abarten.htm
http://www.larsfinster.de/euro/varianten/index.htm
http://www.variantensammler.de/frameset.html

The latter site is the web presence of a variations collectors club.
(From what I know, collecting errors and variations is not quite as
popular here as it is in the US.) There is also a link to Peter
Neugebauer's "Varianten-Katalog", a printed catalog of German (mark and
euro) variations ...
