Wurlitzer jukebox on Ebay

I have always wanted a old Wurlitzer jukebox. Could someone tell me if
that Wurlitzer 600 on Ebay is a good one to buy. It's all restored &
looks great. Thanks in advance for your advice.

My 2004 Price Guide lists a grade 1 restoration of the 1939 Wurlitzer
600 at $4,200. I suspect his reserve is set at over $3,000.
Personally, I like the Rockola 1422 and 1426 over the Wurlitzer 600.
The restoration on that particular model looks impressive. Even when
set-up correctly, I've found the older Wurlitzers need to be tinkered
with to operate correctly. They are not as reliable as say a 1950s
Seeburg.

Compared with other Wurlitzers from that era, the 600 is valued low.
They just don't look as nice as the 700, 800, 850, 950, and 1015. It's
really up to you. Parts are available and it's relatively nice
looking. Seeburg 78 machines from that time are MUCH cheaper. I've
seen the Seeburg Vogue, Classic, and Envoy go for well under $1000 in
good shape. Of course you can't see the mechanism in those models.
