I went for a ride in Gibson's Amphicar, and it drew universal stares.
I had the luxury of riding in my oldest brother's '70 Chevelle 454 LS6 when I was a kid, and it didn't draw 1/4 of the attention. We were passing through an intersection where, on the opposite side, a car turning left and a car turning right from opposite directions almost had a bad angular sideswipe wreck, they missed each other by a matter of a foot or less. I can't honestly say that I saw them gawking at the Amphicar, but I'm sure it was the reason to blame.
