Rockola Turntable Gripper Issue
A friend of mine just bought a 450 Rock-ola.
Everything works except when the gripper goe to pick the record back up after playing it it jumps up about a quarter of an inch before it closes to grip the record and thus does not pick up the record to return it to the carriage. I didnt see an obvious way to fix this...does anyone have a hint? -- Ken In Texas http://www.pinballrebel.com Custom Pinball Cards, Jukeboxes, Drive In's "Never ask a man if he's from Texas. Rockola Turntable Gripper Issue
It has gummy oil in that big rotating bushing the record arm is hooked
to . A bunch of oil will probably get it going for a while . Its not good to drip bunches of oil down into the machine & let it run all over ... be neat about it . The very best way is to take that unit all apart , clean & re-oil . I just did one with the same problem . A second Rockola here does the same , i used light oil to get the machine going before i tear it down for full restore . The light oil only lasted a few months . Ken |
