are a laugh riot, how can you call coin talk a jackass free zone when
you are in it LOL. You have one poster in coin talk that likes to think
of himself as RCCs most persecuted poster lol he is a professional
victim that welcomes flame wars no he actually begs to be attacked lol.
Another poster in coin talk that I know and have written back to in
e-mails not initiated by me, claims his occupation to be a writer in
your forum when I know he said in an e-mail to me he was a security
guard struggling to be a writer lol. Peter you got a lot of interesting
head cases posting in coin talk. I would never ever post to it because I
see it as I see you, a total piece of, well you know what you are you
must own a mirror.

Thanks for the help friend. Somehow, I think that people like you are the
best advertisement for moderated forums that money can't buy.

Do you really believe people use the term ASA Accugrade? I can tell you from
my logs the search terms are more like ACG and just Accugrade.

It's just one example, and yes Cointalk does get traffic from people
searching that keyword. If you search Google for just 'accugrade' Cointalk
is also in the top few results, along with your site.

Uh huh, and you just happened to pick out that term purely by what
you think newbies are going to search for in relation to trying to find
out about ACG? When pigs fly. Over 90% of search engine referrals
to my group of sites come from the search term "ACG". Virtually all
the rest of search engine referrals are from the search terms "Alan
Hager" and "Accugrade".

Then it would seem to me that the best thing overall would be to refer the
newbies here where the more experienced collectors reside.

It's not that newbies are not welcome here, it's that they're more likely

to
find a website than they are to find a USENET newsgroup. The demographics
are very different between here at RCC and at a website like Cointalk.
Promoting the hobby is exactly the reason I created Cointalk, and exactly
the reason that more experienced people are needed there. There are

mostly
experienced people here at RCC, and there are mostly newbies at Cointalk.

Sorry to hear that Ed. I've been reading rcc for quite a few years,

and
my
impression is that the type that gets here is on average more

experienced
than the ones coming to Cointalk. Sure, there are the odd newbies

here,
but
at Cointalk most of the people are newbies.

Christ, are newbies not welcome here with the 'ELITE" ebay forum?
Whatever happened to wanting to promote the hobby?

No, I picked that one at random, I did post a more complete listing of
keywords that people coming to Coin Talk use in a search in my first post in
this thread. If you're that interested, I can send you a copy of it. The
nature of your website, and the nature of Coin Talk are so different that it
should not surprise you that the manner in which people find yours is
different from how people find Coin Talk. I'm really not sure what your
point is with this?

If you would like to write up a tutorial for people how to get to RCC, and
have that tutorial written for people who have no clue what USENET is at
all, then you're welcome to post it at Coin Talk.

In article te89b.446235$o%2.203193@sccrnsc02, Peter T Davis spoke
thusly...
If you would like to write up a tutorial for people how to get to RCC, and
have that tutorial written for people who have no clue what USENET is at
all, then you're welcome to post it at Coin Talk.

This is the tutorial I put up on my site under Coin Discussion
