This vintage Shakespeare Fishing Reel, No. 1909, Model FD, is in excellent
condition. It measures about 2 ½ inches (4 inches to the ends of the handle
knobs). It is marked on the end (Shakespeare, Leader, No. 1909) and (Model
FD). It is also marked on the bracket that attaches to the fishing pole
(Made in U.S.A.). The reel is in excellent condition with a parts
functioning properly. I have taken close-up pictures to show the details.
