Regarding Origin of Things Familiar
Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone has any information or reviews of the book Origin of Things Familiar by Anonymous. It was published by United Book, Cincinnati 1934. Thanks in advance. Ravi. |

I think the publisher may be just as anonymous. I have a 30 page (55 entries per page) list of publishers that ABBookman had posted on its sadly departed web site. United Book does not appear on the list. It may have been a small vanity press. I did a search on addall.com and came up with one listing. I would give a near zero probability to anyone ever having done a book review on it. Francis A. Miniter |

Miniter The full title appears to be: "Origin of things familiar: Sketches on the origin of common things, prevalent beliefs, everyday words and phrases, familiar signs and symbols and current customs" That should serve as both description and review. It's the best Ravi will be able to do, I think. |
