Jorge Cantu expressed precisely :
You are peddlers by implication. You can't tell me that if I used Google to look up all those coin dealers, that they wouldn't have something to sell. This is unacceptable abuse of Usenet. The vast majority of Usenet storage falls on the mom-and-pop local ISPs. When they agreed to carry Usenet posts, they did so based on the noncommercial aspect of usenet. When you post commercial ads, which even indirectly have a commercial aspect, that can in no way be considered "discussion." Thus you are violating the terms you agreed to NOT ONLY with YOUR ISP, but also with all of the mom-and-pop ISPs downstream which have to propagate your spam. You are forcing people to store your garbage on their machines. This is theft. This is illegal. I have reported the original poster, to . Please do the same and we can keep Usenet free of spam. Every little action you can do helps. Jorge The "vast majority" of Usenet data is stored on mom & pop ISPs? Are you living in 1993? You have no concept of reality. The internet is commercial now, if you haven't noticed. Ads are accepted by almost eveyone except for a few freaks like you who think its still run by universities and computer nerds who run a 3 line dialup 1200 baud BBS in their garage and have wet dreams about getting a 64K ISDN line. GET A FREAKING LIFE!!! You're partially right...but this isn't the Internet, its Usenet, and if you don't know the difference then you're really behind. Also, if you think that Earthlink will stand for you to post ads on Usenet news groups, whose charter forbids such, give it a go. They'll give you a warning after someone turns you in, and then pull your account if it happens again. So...you might look for a freaking life. |

Virg Marshall, "The Penny Merchant", always left me with that
impression simply by the name he used. I have met Virg and know him to be an honest dealer, although I believe he has since sold the business that still bears his name ( deja vu Bowers & Merena?). I notice that Virg Marshall has expanded to the States Quarters business as well, by the roll. |

Therefore, we have all offended someone, so none of us should be able to use the internet! In your case, I think that's a great idea. |
