I am cataloguing Charkari at the moment, and from my notes

Mine seem to be all CTO, but I have one with a official type of cancellation.
Comments?

Charkhari covers are uncommon, but I have notes or examples of them
for most of the issues. Here are some examples, with certified
cancellations:

SG 47 - This set is certainly rare on cover

SG 31 + 55

http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...31c56cover.jpg

SG 31c + 56

And here is a faked cover, with forged stamps:

Here are examples of the genuine (at left) and forged type (at right)
early stamps:

The large double ring CDS on the second stamp should set the alarm
bells ringing if you find anything like it on any but the 1931 set,
where it's the typical CTO cancellation.

Which Charkhari are you working on exactly? If you'd like to post
anything problematic here or email a scan to me off-list, I'll be
happy to give my considered opinion. (My fee will be you eating my
pie floater from Harry's Cafe de Wheels ...)

Thanks for those great scans Tony,
I have just viewed them (you know who) has downloaded
23Gb of music, so I was "denied service" and was on dial up speed for a while.

I fear I have made a mistake with Charkari, I cannot locate that cancel,
it may have been Travancore instead.
(senior moment)

I'll be in touch.
Rodney.
