Year of your birth stamps

I thought of what might be a new topic for collecting. A "Year of my
Birth stamps' collection. In my case, I plan to put together at least
one stamp from every country or entity that issued stamps during that
particular year. The stamps are to be as representative of the country
or of what happened in the country during that particular year, along
with a written "snapshot" of the country in that particular year (was
it independent, what was the system of governent, who was the
president or leader, etc), including perhaps one or more additional
stamps of later years that may help with the "snapshot".
I wonder if anyone has attempted and been sucessful with such a
collection.

Or get really narrow and find all the stamps issued ON your date of
birth!
