Maybe the blue cross was a type of early "alchoholics annonymous" ? Type in "louis-lucien rochat" in your Google browser and take the HTML translation option. HTH John |

That is certainly the case now, but I'm not convinced that was true in WWI -- John Taormina The MIDDLE-AGED one To email me you must remove "notme" and "jack" |

HTH John Rod: My problem is he Blue Cross for Animals - http://www.lacroixbleue.be/ Blue Cross for alcoholics - http://www.croixbleue.fr/ I illustrated two Blue Cross covers in my earlier post http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...ngfors/bc2.jpg http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...ngfors/bc1.jpg The first is sent to Geneva (Red Cross?) concerning prisoners of war. The second is from a group concerning itself with pow's and wounded. Neither of these seems to be concerned with either alcoholics or animals. -- John Taormina The MIDDLE-AGED one To email me you must remove "notme" and "jack" |

It's still a mystery to me as there were a number of "Blue Crosses" in France during WWI. -- John Taormina The MIDDLE-AGED one To email me you must remove "notme" and "jack" |
