Default Help with Russian Notations

I need help with translation of Russian script on two WWI Red Cross
covers. I'm hoping someone here can help.
The first is on an American Red Cross Hospital Cover 1915

The second on a POW cover to the US 1916

Many thanks in anticipation

I believe the second reads "post card" possibly to get a cheaper
postal rate.
The second word of the first appears to be "American".
