Mette passed away last night.

At 4 pm today Ann Mette Heindorff's step daughter phoned me with the
sad news that Mette passed away last night. She lost the fight against
a lung cancer.

May she rest in peace.

It is sad news, but at least her suffering has ended.
I think that we shall all miss her here.

Mette was my good friend through 10 years. Strange enough I have never
met her even she was a member of my stamp club in Jutland. She lived
on Seeland.

Thank You for the information Toke. Not only I awaited it, but of course
I hoped she would defeat the cancer. It is a little bit strange how
close people can come to me, though I never met them. Mette made me
always smile because she never used a bad word, always trying to write
kind to everyone here. It was always a fine feeling to read her words.
So she will always have a warm place in my heart and I am sure, I will
remember her name for a long time.

My kindest words are for her husband now.

Let us feel, how I think it is the best way to handle it:

not being sad that she left us, but being very, very happy that she
shared our way for a long time.

Bye Mette, You will always have a place here to stay with us.

I was always impressed with her gentleness and her constant ability to
find the kind word and the helpful phrase.
She was a rare creature indeed, and we are the richer for having had her
as a partner on rcsd.
I pray that she will now enjoy the fullness of life!
