Default Using a rollerball cartridge in a MB ballpoint pen?

hi,

I have owned a Mont Blanc ballpoint pen for about 10 years. Recently,I
received some sample pans that were rollerball make. I love the way
they write and the way the ink looks on the paper. As an experiment,
I took the rollerball cartridge out of one of the pens and put it in
my Mont Blanc rollerball pan. It works pretty good - it's a bit too
short, but the writing is excellent.

I was wondering if anyone else has found a way to use a good
rollerball cartridge in a Mont Blanc pen.
Thank you!

There is a dumb typo in what I wrote above. I meant to say I want to find
an after market rollerball cartridge that would work well in my MB
BALLPOINT pen.

Any suggestions?

Not sure it would work, but I've been able to get a Sanford
"Jetstream" pen (refillable) refill to work in my Waterman, Rotring
and Cross rollerballs, with the only modification on some being to cut
off the "plug" on the end of the refill. I don't know if you could
get it to work. But for an investment of under $5 for 2 pens it's
work a try. The pen itself is pretty nice to hold, and it is by far
the best pen I have tried to date- it is a hybrid ink- writes like a
gel, and dries like oil-based. Available at Walmart, Office Max,
etc.... Good luck!
