Default South Australia cancellation question

http://tr.im/w2V4 -- does anyone have information on the cancel? What
the rest of it would say, for instance, but mostly if this is a
specialized cancel (parcel, telegraph, whatever). I haven't seen a
cancellation like this before.

It would be the right hand portion of a duplex cancel Joshua.
Barred "S.AUSTRALIA"

Here is one from my collection

Another 6 bar S AUSTRALIA cancel,
http://cjoint.com/data/ijjBrs1JbS.htm

I have no proof, but just a "sneaky suspicion"
these cancels were applied by one of these contraptions.

BTW if perchance your OS overprints are wrapper borne,
"The Philatelic database" has an in depth discussion on the 4 types
of OS that are used.

To Rodney: Aha. Thank you. Then I had seen it -- I extrapolated in the
wrong direction.

To everyone: the stamp looks fairly well-centered. Is the US$15 price
tag reasonable?

Yes Joshua,

I'll send you an example of Gibbons "general"
listings on the OS opts.
I feel that should be indepth enough for you,
You can then look for a "part 1" Gibbons second hand catalogue
probably around $5

"Wrapper borne"? Does that mean "used on a wrapper"?

Thank you. Do you know if the cancel on the top middle stamp is a
revenue cancel or a postal pen cancel?

The article was authored by John K Kourtis if you Google.

up $100 from the year before.
