please help! regards "cleaning"
BTW, I did check out the corrossion pages on the net that A&E recommended
and the patina that some of my coins have seems to fall under what the site calls: "Destructive Patina Cuprous Chloride and Cupric Chloride (pale green powdery spots on the surface of a coin or artifact)." |

You can google on the word 'verdigris' for more information about the green corrosion on copper coins. It is removable, but if it's extensive, portions of the surface of the coin will be missing.
